City reports jumping HIV/AIDS numbers

SHANGHAI reported significant jumps of both HIV virus carriers and new reported AIDS patients this year, the city’s disease control center said today.
The city had 621 new HIV carriers by November 20, compared with last year’s 370 patients, the center said.
